About
Ryan Miller is a doctoral student in the second language acquisition program at Carnegie Mellon University.
His main research interests are in second language reading from a cognitive/psycholinguistic perspective. Current research focuses on application of psycholinguistic research on lexical inferencing and reading comprehension to classroom-based pedagogical treatments. Previous research has investigated cross-orthographic transfer effects in L2 reading and visual word recognition automaticity.
Secondary research interests are in second language writing, development of academic writing skills in English, writing in the disciplines, and corpus-based investigations into the above.
